Privacy Policy

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

AridNova builds static analysis and AI-assisted test generation tooling for microservice architectures. We are based in Tucson, Arizona, United States.

This policy covers the AridNova marketing website and documentation at aridnova.net, and the information we collect when you choose to open our public demo from this site.

It does not describe how source code and analysis artifacts are handled inside the AridNova platform itself. That is a different question with different answers, and it is covered separately in Data & Compliance.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

WhatWhenWhy
Name, work email, company, role, and anything you write in the free-text fieldWhen you submit the early access formTo reply to you and evaluate whether a pilot makes sense
Country, state or region, industry, employment level, years of experience, and whether you have worked with microservicesWhen you open the public demo. Every field is optional and the form can be skipped entirelyTo understand who AridNova is useful for and prioritise what we build

Information we collect automatically

When you visit the site or open the demo, we or our analytics providers receive your IP address, approximate location derived from it, the pages you view, the referring page, and basic browser and device information. Requests are timestamped.

Local storage

When you open the demo, we generate a random identifier and store it in your browser's local storage under aridnova-demo-visitor. It lets us recognise repeat visits without asking you the same questions twice, and it is attached to the demographic answers above and to your analytics events.

This identifier is not derived from anything about you personally, and it is not shared with advertisers. But because it persists across visits and is combined with your IP address, we describe the data it is attached to as pseudonymous rather than anonymous. You can clear it at any time by clearing site data for aridnova.net in your browser.

3. Analytics and cookies

We use PostHog to measure how the website is used. It is deliberately configured to collect as little as we can get away with while still being useful:

  • Session recording and replay are disabled.
  • Autocapture is disabled. We record page views and a small number of named events, such as clicking a call to action.
  • Surveys, web experiments, and performance capture are disabled.
  • Analytics requests are proxied through aridnova.net rather than sent to a third-party domain directly.

We may also use Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager for aggregate traffic measurement. Where enabled, these tools set cookies or equivalent identifiers.

Documentation pages embed product walkthrough videos from YouTube. We use YouTube's no-cookie domain, so YouTube does not set tracking cookies unless you press play. Once you play a video, Google's own privacy policy applies to that playback.

We do not currently display a cookie consent banner. If you are in a region that requires opt-in consent for analytics cookies and you would prefer we did not process your data, email team@aridnova.cloud and we will remove it. Most browsers also let you block cookies and local storage per site.

4. How we use information

  • To respond to enquiries and arrange technical conversations.
  • To understand which parts of the product and documentation are useful, and to prioritise our roadmap.
  • To keep the site and the demo available, and to debug problems.
  • To detect and prevent abuse.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with advertising networks. We do not use it to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.

5. Legal bases for processing

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on:

  • Consent — for the optional demographic questions, which you can skip, and for analytics cookies where consent is required.
  • Legitimate interests — for understanding site usage, keeping the service secure and available, and responding when you contact us.
  • Performance of a contract — where we are discussing or running a pilot with you.

6. Who we share information with

We share information with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract, and only to provide their service to us. The current list is published in Data & Compliance.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or where necessary to protect our rights, users, or the security of the service.

7. International transfers

We are based in the United States and our infrastructure and service providers are located in the United States. If you access the site from outside the United States, your information is transferred there. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent transfer mechanism.

8. How long we keep information

We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards for our business records. Analytics and demo demographic data are kept in aggregate for product planning. If you ask us to delete your information, we will, except where we are required to keep it.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what we collect, to request deletion, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA.

To exercise any of these, email team@aridnova.cloud. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. If you are in the EEA or UK and you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to your local data protection authority.

10. Security

We use HTTPS across the site, apply standard browser security headers, and limit access to the systems that hold visitor data. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Our broader security posture is described in Data & Compliance.

11. Children

AridNova is a tool for professional software teams. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email team@aridnova.cloud and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will make that clear rather than quietly editing the text.

13. Contact

Questions, requests, or complaints about this policy can go to team@aridnova.cloud. We are based in Tucson, Arizona, United States.
